STRIDER BIKES HELP CHILDREN PROUDLY BECOME WHO THEY ARE...

LEARN MOREWHO ARE THEY BECOMING?...

International Strider Shout Out!

Last week we put a call out on our Facebook page to get photos and videos posted on our wall.  The international Strider M.O.B. heard us loud and clear!  We want to highlight a few of that crowd today.

The first is Emily from the United Kingdom. She got her Strider last Summer and started gettingher sense of balance, but mostly walked with her bum (I think that's what they call it in the U.K.) off the seat. This summer she will be outfitted with her new helmet and there'll be no stopping her!
Our next international Strider rider is the ever-cool, Johnny Rock. He hails from Sydney, Australia, sports an awesome Nutcase helmet, and some really cool low-top Chuck Taylors!

Keep the photos and videos coming!  We love seeing local, nation, and international Strider riders.

Violet on Christmas Day!

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing kids take their first steps on their new Strider!  We know that a lot of kids got a Strider for Christmas and we’d love to see and hear your stories.

Click through to our facebook page and share a photo or video on our wall…even if they’ve been riding for a while.  We also have a new review tab and we would love to hear from you on there as well.

Below is a great video we found of Violet (Almost 2)  on YouTube and her first attempts at what appears will be a very successful future of Strider Riding.

A Day In The Life…

…of a Strider racer!

Found some cool photos of Nick this week, he is a Strider racer/rider from Washington State.  This past summer he rode in the kids race at ‘Bavarian Bike and Brew‘ in Leavenworth, Washington.  His Dad had this to say about the start to his illustrious racing career, “He loved it! He even did 3 extra laps past the cheering crowd in the Beer garden. Gotta love fans!”

He started off the day with a nutritious breakfast with cow and Bert.

A little late morning Pre-ride with Mom.

Quick nap before the big race!
Staring down opponents as he gets ready to start.

It seems like more and more racing venues are adding fun events for the Strider crowd.  Make sure to find one in your local area, they are a great way for your kids to have fun and connect with riding buddies for the rest of the year.  Our home base of the Black Hills has Winter and Summer fun, both with festive atmosphere!

Big Brother, Little Brother!

We found a great video on Youtube that we just had to share!  We love that Tabor and Simeon  ride together even though they are clearly at different riding levels and ages.  At Strider we strive to not only develop balance skills at a young age, but to encourage fun with the entire family as well.  Get out, have fun, be safe and have a continued happy holiday season!

Griggs on a "Big Hill" and moving up to a pedal bike!

Here are a couple great videos of Griggs, a Strider rider and now a recent pedal biker!

This is a great video showing how balance skills are developed with the Strider.  Griggs is ripping down the hill and is able to use his feet to balance…If you’ve ever seen a child on a tricycle in this same situation you’d be mortified!

“Griggs rides a bike with Pedals for the first time. He received the Strider from his grandparents for Christmas 2009. He turned two at the end of January 2010. This is the end of October 2010. He has not ridden with training wheels, only on a tricycle type setup to learn to pedal. Strider or balance bikes in general are the way to go! We like Strider b/c they fit small kids, and they are light!”    ~Griggs’ parents

We love the enthusiasm from Griggs’ sibling at the end of the video!  Keep up the great work Griggs!

Jesse, the Boy on the Box

If you’ve seen a Strider box, then you’ve seen Jesse.  He is the boy on the box!  The Strider staff is happy to report that he is still shredding.  Here is Jesse at a local BMX track showing off his mad wheelie skills.

We at Strider are also happy to report that no hole has yet been found in the space-time continuum as a result of this apparent paradox.  Let us just hope that Jesse hasn’t figured out how to time travel on his Strider or it could prove to be disastrous.

Testimonial: Strider is Sheer Delight

“I just wanted to share my thoughts on Strider bikes. They are great! I got one for my two-year old a couple of months ago, and he recently started balancing on his own. I thought it would take him a year or so, but in just a couple of months?!! Wow!

I captured the moment with my camera, and I just wanted to share the photo with the Strider company.”

Thanks, Strider!

Paul del Rosario

Strider Shipped to Italy for Family Vacation

Here’s one from our emails:

Nate in Alta Badia
Nate in Alta Badia

Hi:

We don’t normally take the time to write testimonies, but my son has had so much fun with your Strider bike that we shipped it to Italy for our summer vacation, and it was the hit of the trip. We thought you would want to know that all the Italian kids watched with envy as my 3 year old rode through the streets of Florence, the hill towns of Toscany, and kids and adults alike were impressed as we rode the trails and gondolas in Alta Badia in the Italian Alps.

Also, you should know that we called once, shortly after we got the bike, to say that there was a bearing problem with the front wheel, and to our surprize someone answered the phone (on a weekend) and we had a new wheel shipped in a couple days without the hassles and paperwork you would normally expect.

Thanks,

Adam, Wendy and Nate

Strider PREbikes: Kissable

We got this note and photo from one of our dealers:

kissing-striderRemember that bike I had to send to Hawaii priority mail (cause you guys won’t drive to the post office for me to do parcel post – lol !!)  well he got it early and the grandma sent me this cute but fuzzy picture of him kissing the bike saying he loves it so much!.  He is also the one that I talked out of getting the mini glider – which was good as he would have been much too little.  He is turning 2 in about a week.  Thought I’d send it to you.

Learned to ride Before 3rd Birthday – No Training Wheels!

Annette Sweigart sent us this comment:

“I never write reviews but I couldn’t resist this one. I set out less than two months ago to buy my 2 1/2 year old son a bike (with training wheels). I discovered the Strider online and ordered it thinking that with the money back guarantee, we had nothing to lose. He’s been riding it for the last 6 weeks, not even every day. Three days ago we put him on a two wheel bike, no training wheels! Check out the video taken yesterday on his third day riding a “big boy bike”. Trey will be 2 years, 9 months old tomorrow. And he’s riding a bike with no training wheels! Amazing–thank you!”
