My 9 month old has now had her Strider with the rocking base for about a month. She LOVES it! She has learned how to get on the bike by herself, and rocks it like a rocking horse. She also loves it when we push her around! Another couple of months and she will be tall enough to take the base off, but I would highly recommend starting with a base. We could not be happier with our purchase!

2-in-1 Rocking Bike

Babies everywhere are clapping their chubby little hands over the fact that they too can now ride – or play – on a bike. The Strider 12 Pro is our lightest weight model, which means babies will be walking with their balance bike as soon as it’s time to remove it from the rocking base (and then put it back on to rock, and then take it off again, and then...). It’s endless fun and adventure!

Awesome Questions

  • Will the Strider Rocking Base fit any small balance bike?

This accessory was designed and tested to be used with the Strider 12 models only.
  • Do your High-Traction Wheels fit on this?

Technically yes, they fit, but will be a bit snug. You may need to let out a little of the air for a better fit.
  • Is it safe?

Yes, all Strider products are tested with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission before they reach the hands of a child. We do recommend parental supervision for the Rocking Bikes, especially as a child is learning to rock.
  • Can the Rocking Bike be used for older kids?

The general age range for the Rocking Bike is 0–2 years. If your child is walking and has a minimum inseam of 12" then they may not need the Rocking Bike and can start striding with any of our Strider 12 Balance Bike models.
