For all the little riders with boundless energy who would rather go over rocks and logs, and through puddles than around them. Calling all kiddos who would consider a day in the dirt living their best life and are a slightly disproportionate combination of sweet and scrappy. This is your race. Strider Adventure-Cross is for all the 14x riders ages 4-7 years old and combines running, riding in balance mode, and pedaling all in one awesome race. This is a test of endurance and skill with a longer course that covers a wide variety of terrain with grass, mud, rocks, single track, and puddles. There are four stages in this dynamic race, one of which includes a pit stop where a guardian attaches the pedal kit to the 14x so the racer can pedal power through the finish line. An epic day for both racer and spectator, the Strider Adventure-Cross should be on the top of every rowdy toddler’s bucket list.

This Strider Adventure-Cross race is a unique Strider take on a Cyclocross race but with a few fun twists!
This race is only for racers age 4-7 years old (as of June 20, 2021) on Strider 14x Sport bikes. No Strider 12 bikes are allowed due to how this particular race will be run.
This race is limited to the first 15 registrations in each of the two age classes (4 & 5 Year Old Class and the 6 & 7 Year Old Class)
Unlike some of our other races, this is a race of endurance over a longer period of time and skill, much like a Cyclocross race! It will be a somewhat difficult course so please be sure that your racer is up for this challenge.
The format of this race will be as follows:
From the starting line the racer will run approximately 600 feet (no bicycle)
One parent or guardian will then hand off the bike (in balance bike mode – no pedals) to the racer to race on for approximately 1,600 feet
After the pedal kit attachment is completed by the parent or guardian the racer will continue on in pedal mode for another approximately 2,000 feet to the finish line
The course will have a wide variety of terrain and obstacles including hard surfaces, single track, grass, mud, water obstacles, rocks, and obstacles and places where the racer will have to dismount and climb over or around the terrain and other generally difficult stuff! We are expecting this could take as long as 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
Other event highlights include:
Race times are subject to change based on registrations.
All racers must attend Packet Pickup on race day (June 20) and bring their bike to Tech Inspection in order to be allowed to compete. See below for more details.
Sunday, June 20
10:00 a.m. to approx. 2:15 p.m.
Open Track (warm up, but don’t get burned out!)
Riders’ Meeting for all racers.
Race for both Classes of racers (4 and 5-year-old class and the 6 and 7-year-old class)!
Our best guess for how long it will take to finish the course is 15 to 30 minutes.
Podium ceremonies for the finishers of each of the Classes will be immediately afterward.
An explanation about the Pit Stop: One parent or guardian will be assigned a particular area where the racer will come to after the balance bike mode portion of the race is done and that parent will then attach the pedal kit to the bike as fast as he/she can and then give the bike back to the racer so they can continue the race in pedal mode. Please reference the rules for specific information as there are several issues that need to have compliance to stay within the structure of the race.
If you are not familiar with the Strider 14x Sport bike, please check it out!
We will be having two races, one for 4 and 5 year old riders and one for 6 and 7 year olds. We will be racing both Classes at the same time. Registration is limited to the first 15 registrants in each class. Registrations must be made online prior to noon CDT on Friday, June 18. There will be no registrations after that time or on race day.
All racers will receive either a trophy (top 5 finishers) or a medal, a custom souvenir number plate, and a bunch of cool items in the registration bag! Medals will be presented immediately after finishing.
Tickets purchased via Eventbrite will receive an email confirmation with a link to print your etickets from your computer. You may bring the printout of your tickets OR you may also have the confirmation email available during the packet pickup period.
This Strider Adventure-Cross race is a rain or shine event. No refunds or exchanges. Tickets cannot be replaced or transferred to another race. Please review the Strider Event Weather Policy prior to registering.
