Administrative and Project Support Specialist

Strider Sports International, Inc, is the South Dakota-based company behind the industry leading, Strider Balance Bike for toddlers and children. This is your chance to join our work- hard, play- hard team.

Strider is looking for someone to provide support and assist in coordination of the company’s business development functions, project updating, sales reporting, and data entry. This role will work directly with the business development and product departments to aid in the sales and reporting tasks for various sub companies as well as communicate with business partners regarding results in their territories. The ideal candidate will need to display proficiency with computers, and the confidence and ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position. Candidates must be organized, driven, attentive to detail, have great communication skills (especially on the phone and via email), be comfortable using translation systems when necessary and be prepared to help make large contributions to the company’s ever-changing landscape.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative support to the organization, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and processing expense reports.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, coordinating communication, information flow, and project updates as needed.
  • Manage project-related tasks and timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes, and ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track progress, identify issues, and facilitate resolution of challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Assist with and follow up on monthly reporting functions.
  • Be a backup to our amazing customer service team domestically and internationally during peak season.
  • Data entry to assist the product and logistics team in completion of reports.
  • Manage a variety of monthly tasks that aid in the completion of the forecasting, purchasing and inventory for our business partners.

    Qualifications: 

    • Proven experience in administrative support, project administration, or project coordination roles.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Basecamp).
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues to ensure project success.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements.

        Physical Demands:  

        • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 lbs. 
        • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time using a phone, computer keyboard and monitor.

        Location and hours:  

        • This position is in Rapid City, SD.
        • Regular office hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30 am to 5 pm and Fri 8am to noon.
        • Hours will need to be flexed to achieve a 40 hour week.
        • Some travel and occasional support of weekend events should be anticipated.

        Pay:  

        • $18-$25 per hour depending upon experience and up to 20% annual bonus eligibility.
        • This full time, non-exempt position qualifies for a full benefits package that includes paid sick leave, paid vacation, a 401K plan, health insurance and an extensive list of perks.
