Strider is looking for an entrepreneurial person who can lead our revenue growth as we teach future generations to love a life on two wheels.

Strider Sports International, Inc, is the South Dakota-based company behind the industry leading, Strider Balance Bike for toddlers and children. Headquartered in Rapid City, SD this global company is rapidly expanding and seeking candidates who want to live and work in the amazing Black Hills. This position will allow you to leverage your marketing management experience and business development prowess by working for a company with a world-wide reach.

The Director of Revenue will be responsible for managing three internal direct reports who lead teams totaling 10 to 12 people in the promotion of all Strider products, services, events and education around the world. In addition to the internal teams this person will interact often with outsourced agencies and top level business partners in e-commerce, advertising, mass retail and brand protection. While the primary responsibility is to guide the success of the marketing and business development efforts, in a given day this leader completes tasks that fall into many categories such as brand management, marketing communications (including advertising, promotions and public relations), market research and connecting with the product or logistics team. They must have the interpersonal skills to coordinate many different styles of thinking into one team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Meet with and create business goals together with, the Director of Operations, the Director of Finance, the COO and CEO.
  • Provide direction and oversight to three in- house managers as well as outsourced agencies.
  • Coach, mentor and develop world-class advertising efforts.
  • Be responsible for the promotion of all Strider products, education, events, customer relations and benevolence around the world.
  • Review and Monitor the performance of Strider’s 3P partner agencies to drive growth.
  • Use past experience to tie together advertising, marketing and sales efforts for maximum return.
  • Develop a budget, monitor it, and help ensure profitability.
  • Plan, implement, and follow through with project work flows to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Lead both US and International efforts for company revenue growth.

    Qualifications: 

    • Possess a knowledge of Strider and the market we serve.
    • Have the desire to lead a marketing team to the next level through messaging, voice, imagery and branding.
    • Have experience in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and proven ability to organize a team on a day to day basis.
    • Have at least 4 years of experience managing a team 4 years marketing experience with a major brand.
    • Possess the drive to seek out new and growing revenue sources.
    • Be both analytical and creative.
    • Have the ability to understand, embrace, and portray the joy, challenge, adventure, and excitement that riding brings to life.
    • Have experience with and an understanding of Mass Retail as well as E Commerce.
    • The understanding of how to tie together events, advertising, product development, global outlook, and education pieces into one brand.
    • Demonstrate the ability to provide feedback, lead and inspire a team to high standards.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and enjoy an active lifestyle.

          Physical Demands:  

          • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 lbs. 
          • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time using a phone and computer.
          • Must be willing to occasionally assist after hours or for weekend events.
          • Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle.

          Location and hours:  

          • This position is in Rapid City, SD.
          • Core office hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30 am to 5 pm and Fri 8am to noon.
          • Must be able to travel freely throughout the US and Internationally by vehicle or airline.

          Pay:  

          • Base pay is $85,000 to $115,000.
          • Performance bonuses of up to 30% of base available annually.
          • This position reports to the COO.
          • This is a full time (40 hours per week) exempt position and qualifies for a full benefits package that includes paid time off, sick leave, a 401K plan, profit sharing, health insurance and an extensive list of perks.
